Help Rebuild a Nation
Support the Haitian church in bringing hope and new life through acts of service.

"You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings..." As Isaiah 58:12 says, we believe God is calling us to help rebuild a nation. We want to get our hands dirty and labor alongside our Haitian brothers and sisters. Our goal is to equip and empower the local church without promoting dependence, and we will do so by accomplishing work strictly through relationships we have with local pastors, communities and churches.

AIM is committing to work in Haiti with a long-term vision to meet the country's long-term needs. We already have established many connections with pastors, communities and clinics that future mission teams will serve to ensure maximum effectiveness. As of March 2010, we have adopted and are coordinating food and basic medical aid for two "tent cities." As we proceed, we will work with Haitian churches to build new communities from the ground up.

Team descriptions fall under three categories: primary relief, intercession, and rebuilding. (We have experience coordinating these types of teams from our Gulf-area response to Hurricane Katrina, where we have ongoing teams and ministry presence.)

We are partnering with Sure Foundations, Inc. to formulate plans for development of these new communities. We envision each community with a church, medical clinic, school, family housing and basic infrastructure (fresh water supply, wastewater treatment, electricity). Each community will be centered on the local church under their local pastors. We plan to assist them with necessary materials, planning, manpower and guidance to ensure long-term self-sustainability and integrity.
