4. Develop a lifestyle of walking in the Spirit
5. Learn how to worship
6. Learn how to practice spiritual disciplines
7. Learn how to discern God’s will
Understanding Myself
8. Understand the believer’s identity in Christ
9. Understand their personal strengths/skills and weaknesses
10. Understand their temperament
11. Discern their call (to God; to their part) (includes transition
out of FYM)
12. Develop their character
13. Experience inner healing
14. Learn how to live a disciple’s life of surrender
Understanding the World/Others
15. Learn how to develop intimacy with others
16. Learn about the real body/team structure of the church
17. Learn how to listen well
18. Develop a Christian/Kingdom worldview
19. Learn about their host culture/people
Ministry
20. Learn how to discern and meet someone’s needs
21. Learn how to evangelize and disciple others (into discipling
others!)
22. Learn WHY they believe and how to use apologetics to minister
23. Learn how to minister in the Spirit through listening prayer
24. Learn about spiritual authority (exercising their own; submitting
to others’)
25. Learn how to effectively minister in their host culture
26. Learn how to lead others
27. Learn how to build a ministry
28. Learn the personal side of a life in ministry (personal budget,
balance, relationships/team,
support raising,...)
